FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Salesforce quotes 6 to 8 weeks for the review itself, but the full cycle - including preparation, code scanning, false positive remediation, and resubmission - usually takes 3 to 5 months for a first-time listing. With proper preparation, we have helped teams pass on the first submission.

For new products, 2GP (second-generation packaging) is the recommended path. It offers better dependency management, scratch org development, and CI/CD integration. We only recommend 1GP if you are maintaining a legacy product that cannot be migrated.

Yes. We frequently help teams that have received a failed review or are stuck on specific findings. We audit the scanner results, identify genuine vulnerabilities vs. false positives, fix the issues, and prepare the resubmission documentation.

We use agentic AI coding assistants throughout the development lifecycle - from scaffolding LWC components and writing Apex test classes to generating documentation and reviewing code for security vulnerabilities. This compresses timelines significantly without compromising quality, because every AI-generated output is reviewed and validated by an architect before it ships.

AI accelerates several parts of the review preparation. We use it to scan for common security anti-patterns, generate CRUD/FLS enforcement code, write comprehensive test coverage, and draft false positive justification documents. The security review itself still requires human expertise to interpret findings and make architectural decisions, but AI handles the repetitive groundwork.

Both. Some clients engage us for the full lifecycle, from architecture through to listing. Others bring us in for specific phases - security review preparation, LWC component development, or packaging and distribution setup. We scope the engagement to match your needs.

AppExchange products require ongoing attention - Salesforce releases three times a year, and your app needs to stay compatible. We offer support engagements for release compatibility testing, feature enhancements, and subscriber issue resolution.
