Versions and A/B experiments

Every publish keeps the version it created, so you can see what changed, go back, or test one version against another. Both live on the right rail of the builder, once a form has been published.

Versions

The Versions tab lists every published version with:

• Changes: a diff against the previous version.
• Restore: replaces the current draft with that version’s fields, without affecting what is published. Publish again to make a restored version live.
• Draft changes since published: diffs your in-progress draft against the live version.

Any edit that moves the draft away from the live version, including deleting a field, marks the form as edited on the dashboard, so you can see at a glance which forms have unpublished work.

Note: restoring an old version never re-opens a form you deliberately closed.

A/B experiments

To A/B test a change:

1. Set an Experiment split percentage first if you do not want an even split.
2. Click Test vs live on any prior version’s row. That starts a 50/50 experiment against the currently published champion.
3. While the experiment runs, a banner shows live counts and a significance readout.
4. End it with Promote challenger (make it the new published version) or Keep champion (end the experiment and discard the challenger’s traffic share).

A running experiment blocks publishing, so end it before you publish anything else. A form with an experiment running also carries an Experiment badge on the dashboard.

Test submissions made with Open as test respondent do not count toward an experiment. See Sharing a form.
