Add the components to a page

Sliick Photos ships three components. You add them to record pages in the Lightning App Builder, then set their options. Do this before you set up cloud storage: the components work straight away on Salesforce Files, which lets you confirm the package is healthy first.

Sliick Profile Photo

Best placed in the left column near the top of a Contact or Account page.

1. Open a record page, click the gear icon and choose Edit Page.
2. Find Sliick Profile Photo in the custom components panel and drag it onto the layout.
3. Set the properties:
   • Circular Crop: show the photo in a circular frame.
   • Hide Sliick Logo: hide the Sliick logo from the bottom corner of the component.
4. Click Save > Activate.

The upload and delete buttons appear automatically for all users. They are hidden only when the record is linked to an Experience Cloud user, because that photo is managed in Experience Cloud profile settings instead.

Sliick Photo Gallery

1. Drag Sliick Photo Gallery onto the record page.

2. Set the properties:

3. Click Save > Activate.

Note: The gallery has no upload control of its own. Images reach a record through the file list, or through the gallery’s Attach existing file icon. Clicking an image opens the photo editor, where a user can annotate, save or delete it. Saving always creates a new version and never overwrites the original.

Sliick File List

The file list is how users get images onto a record, and it manages every other file type as well.

1. Drag Sliick File List onto the record page.
2. Set Topic Filter if you want the list restricted to a single Salesforce Topic.
3. Click Save > Activate.

Upload, delete, rename and replace are always available to users in the file list. Access follows Salesforce record permissions, not component settings: a user who cannot see the record cannot see its files.

There is no storage setting on the components

The gallery, the file list and the profile photo all detect your org’s active storage provider automatically and read and write to the right place. There is no Storage Location property to set, and nothing to change on the page layouts when you later connect cloud storage.

Check it works

With no further configuration, images are stored in Salesforce Files. Confirm that before going any further:

1. Open a record page where you added the components.
2. Upload a test image through the file list.
3. Confirm it appears in the gallery.
4. Delete the test image and confirm it disappears.

If the upload fails, check that the test user has the Sliick Files User permission set, and that their profile allows them to use Salesforce Files in the normal way.
