Diagnose image processing

When users report that an image uploaded but never appeared, the Diagnostics tab tells you why without going anywhere near the Developer Console. It is available to anyone with the Sliick Files Admin permission set.

To open it: App Launcher > Sliick Admin > Storage Settings, then click the Diagnostics tab.

SectionWhat you learn
Storage ConnectionThe active provider, the connection status (Active, Provisioning, Failed or Not Started), and whether the org’s credentials are in place.
Media ProcessingWhether the pipeline is enabled, its service status (Ready, Checking or Failed), and the current resize settings.
Pipeline Health CheckAn on-demand check of the processing service: whether it can be reached and how long it takes to respond.
File Processing SummaryHow many files are pending, complete and failed. It warns you when the oldest pending file is more than 15 minutes old.
Pending FilesEvery file still waiting, with its name, type, provider, parent record and age. Each row has a retry button.
Recent Storage LogsThe last 50 file operations, with the operation, its status, the file, any error message and the time.

Work through these in order:

  1. Run the Pipeline Health Check. If the service cannot be reached, that is your answer.
  2. Check the Media Processing section: the pipeline should be enabled and its status Verified.
  3. Look at Pending Files and retry an individual file. If it completes, the backlog was transient.
  4. Read Recent Storage Logs for the failing operation and its error message.

If everything reads healthy and images still do not appear, contact the Sliick team with the error message shown.

Note: Diagnostics shows the underlying technical error rather than a friendly message. That is deliberate: the tab is administrator-only and the real message is what the Sliick team will ask you for.
