Supported image types and limits
A quick reference for what Sliick Photos accepts and what it does with it.
Image formats
Section titled “Image formats”The gallery is a filtered view of the record’s files: it shows images, and everything else stays in the file list.
| Format | Appears in | What happens to it on cloud storage |
|---|---|---|
.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .webp, .bmp | Gallery and file list | Orientation corrected, resized to your administrator’s maximum, thumbnail created. |
.heic, .heif (iPhone photos) | Gallery and file list | Converted to JPG first, then treated as above. |
Everything else, such as .pdf, .docx, .zip, .mp4 | File list only | Stored as-is. Not processed. |
The file list itself accepts any file type. There is no upload restriction. For managing documents and other non-image files, see the Sliick Files documentation.
Profile photos
Section titled “Profile photos”The profile photo component is stricter than the gallery.
| Accepted formats | Maximum size | |
|---|---|---|
| Salesforce storage | .jpg, .jpeg, .png | 4 MB |
| Cloud storage | .jpg, .jpeg, .png | 25 MB |
