Connect your own cloud storage
If you would rather keep images in storage your organisation already owns, Sliick Photos can connect to it. You create the bucket or library, allow Salesforce pages to read from and write to it, and enter the details on the Storage Settings tab of the Sliick Admin app.

Three things to know before you start
Section titled “Three things to know before you start”- Designate the integration user first. Every external provider registers your org with Sliick before it stores any settings, and that registration runs as a dedicated Salesforce user holding the Sliick Pipeline Integration permission set. See Set up the Integration User.
- Every provider needs a cross-origin rule. Browsers upload images straight to your storage, so your bucket or container has to allow requests from your Salesforce domains. Each provider guide gives the exact values. If you use an Experience Cloud site, add that site’s domain to the same list.
- Salesforce needs to be allowed to call your storage. Each provider guide covers the Salesforce-side settings that permit the connection.
After you connect
Section titled “After you connect”- There is nothing to change on your record pages. The gallery, file list and profile photo follow the active provider automatically.
- Turn on image processing so HEIC photos are converted, sideways photos are corrected and large images are resized. This is not available with SharePoint.
- Images already in Salesforce Files stay where they are. Only new uploads go to your storage. Users can move an older file across one at a time from the file list.
- When you rotate the keys or secrets on your storage account, disconnect on the Storage Settings tab and reconnect with the new credentials.
