Add images to a record
Images reach a record through the Sliick File List component on that record. Anything you upload there that is an image also appears in the image gallery automatically.
Upload
Section titled “Upload”- Open the record page and find the file list.
- Click the Upload files input.
- Choose one or more files. Hold Ctrl, Cmd or Shift while clicking to select several at once.
- The files appear in the list as they finish.
You can also drag files from your computer straight onto the file list. A dashed border and a Drop to upload overlay appear; let go to start the upload.
Tip: You can upload up to 50 files at a time. Select more than that and you are asked to reduce the batch.
Supported image formats are .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .webp, .bmp, .heic and .heif. iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPG for you on cloud storage. See Supported image types.
Watch the progress panel
Section titled “Watch the progress panel”When you upload several files, a collapsible progress panel appears below the upload input with a summary such as “Uploading 2 of 12 files”. Click the arrow on the left to expand it and see each file:

| Queued | Waiting its turn. |
| Uploading | In progress. |
| Complete | Uploaded successfully. |
| Failed | Something went wrong. Click Retry next to the file. |
- Files upload two at a time, so a large batch works its way through steadily. You do not have to wait before choosing more files.
- Click Cancel to stop the files that have not started. Anything already uploaded is kept.
- Click Dismiss to clear the panel. It clears itself after a few seconds if everything succeeded.
After the upload
Section titled “After the upload”On cloud storage, images show a Processing badge for a few seconds while they are optimised, then appear in the gallery. On Salesforce storage they appear immediately, and must be under 4 MB.
Note: If your org stores files in SharePoint, your file names upload intact, including spaces, brackets, accents and apostrophes. Only the handful of characters SharePoint itself rejects need changing, and you are asked to confirm the tidied-up name before the upload continues.
Images that are already in Salesforce
Section titled “Images that are already in Salesforce”If your org uses cloud storage, the file list also shows the record’s plain Salesforce files with a Salesforce Files badge. You can move one into the connected storage at a time from the row’s action menu, which puts it through the usual image processing. Older versions of the file are not carried across.
