Connect Sliick Cloud Storage

Sliick Cloud Storage is the simplest cloud option for administrators who do not want to run their own bucket. There is no bucket to create, no cross-origin rules to configure and no credentials to store. It is a paid premium tier that includes managed infrastructure and advanced features such as external share links. See the Sliick Photos product page for pricing.

Before you start

Designate the integration user first. This is a dedicated, active Salesforce user with the Sliick Pipeline Integration permission set, which Sliick acts as when it registers your org and when the image processing service writes results back into Salesforce. Full instructions: Set up the Integration User.

Connect

Section titled “Connect”
  1. Open the Sliick Admin app from the App Launcher.
  2. Go to the Storage Settings tab.
  3. Under Storage Provider, select Sliick Cloud Storage.
  4. In the Integration User box, enter the username of your integration user.
  5. Click Connect.

Connecting registers your org automatically. There are no tokens, client IDs or secrets to enter.

Check it worked

The status should read Connected - Sliick Cloud Storage with a provisioning status of Active.

If the connection fails, the page shows the error and a Connect button. Click Connect again to retry; retrying is safe and will not create a duplicate registration. The most common cause is an integration user problem: inactive, missing the Sliick Pipeline Integration permission set, or not yet authorised to be used by the Sliick integration. Note: Premium features such as external share links and two-way sync start switched off. Sliick turns them on for your org as part of onboarding, so contact the Sliick team if a feature you have purchased is still greyed out after you connect.

Your files stay yours

Every org’s files are kept under their own separate area of the storage service, and your org never holds long-lived storage credentials. Access to a file is granted for a few minutes at a time, request by request, and the keys behind that are rotated for you with nothing to re-enter.
