What you will need
Read this before you start. It tells you what the Google Cloud setup produces, so you know what you are collecting as you go.
The four values
Section titled “The four values”By the end you will have four values to paste into Sliick Settings:
- HMAC Access Key
- HMAC Secret
- Bucket Name
- Region code
Keep a password manager or a scratch note open as you go. The HMAC secret in particular is shown exactly once.
What to have ready
Section titled “What to have ready”- A Google account, personal Gmail or Workspace, that can create a Google Cloud project.
- A credit card. Cloud Storage is a paid service, even though first-time usage may fall entirely under the free credit.
- The Google Cloud CLI installed on your machine. CORS on a bucket cannot be set in the Google Cloud console, so this one is not optional. See Configure CORS on the bucket.
