Install and permission sets
Do this once per org, straight after installing Sliick Files and before you connect any storage. Without a permission set, a user cannot open Sliick Settings or upload a file.
How to get to Setup: in Salesforce, click the gear icon in the top-right and choose Setup. The setup tree appears on the left; use the Quick Find box at the top of the left sidebar to jump to any page named below.
Install the package
Section titled “Install the package”Install the Sliick Files managed package from the AppExchange listing, or the install URL provided at purchase.
- Install for Admins Only first so you can test, then widen access once you have configured storage.
- If you are prompted about access, choose Grant access to all users.
Assign the permission sets
Section titled “Assign the permission sets”Sliick Files ships four packaged permission sets. Assign them in Setup → Permission Sets, then Manage Assignments → Add Assignment.

Most orgs only need the first two.
Sliick Files Setup is not a substitute for Sliick Pipeline Integration. Assigning it to the Integration User instead is the single most common cause of a failed storage connection.
What comes next
Section titled “What comes next”These permission sets are the base grants that let someone use Sliick Files at all. If you go on to connect your own storage, each provider needs one extra grant on top: access to the credential Sliick creates when you connect. That grant lives on a permission set you manage, and each provider’s Salesforce setup page explains it. Sliick Cloud Storage needs no extra grant.
If you are keeping files in Salesforce Files, there is nothing else to assign.
