Share links
A share link gives someone outside Salesforce access to one file, on terms you set. This page covers creating one and managing it afterwards.
Share links are off by default. The Share action only appears when the file is stored on an external provider and share links have been switched on for your org. It is never offered for files in Salesforce Files, or on an Experience Cloud site. If you cannot see a Share action, ask your administrator, who can arrange it with Sliick.
Create a share link
Section titled “Create a share link”- Find the file in the file list, or open it in the image gallery.
- Click Share.
- Choose whether to create a file share or a share for the full set, when that option is offered.
- Set the expiry and, if you need them, add a password, a maximum view count, or turn off downloads.
- Click Create Share.
- Copy the generated URL.
Manage links you have created
Section titled “Manage links you have created”The active-shares table lets you reopen, update or revoke an existing link later. View counts are tracked and made available to administrators for review.
Links stay Sliick-managed even when the file lives in your own bucket. Recipients never get a link straight from the storage provider.
