Experience Cloud pages
The file list and image gallery can be placed on authenticated Experience Cloud pages. This page covers what changes when they run there.
What is hidden by default
Section titled “What is hidden by default”Community mode is detected automatically, and page builders can override it with the Community Mode property when they need to.
In community mode, destructive actions are hidden by default: delete, replace, restore, retry and share. Version history stays read-only unless the page is running in the standard internal mode.
What you can turn back on
Section titled “What you can turn back on”Two properties are explicit opt-ins for community pages:
- Allow Tag Management
- Allow Photo Editor
Set them on the component in Experience Builder when your community users need them.
Two things that do not work in a community
Section titled “Two things that do not work in a community”- Share links never appear, even when share links are enabled for your org and the file is on an external provider.
- SharePoint per-user (Delegated) sign-in is internal-org only. Experience Cloud users cannot complete the Microsoft sign-in flow, so an org connected in that mode cannot serve SharePoint files to a community.
Do not forget CORS
Section titled “Do not forget CORS”If you use Experience Cloud sites, add each community domain to your storage provider’s allowed origins. This applies to every provider except SharePoint. Community domains appear in Setup, under Digital Experiences → All Sites.
