Connect to Sliick Cloud Storage
Connecting takes two prerequisites and a button. There are no tokens, client IDs or secrets to enter.
Before you connect
Section titled “Before you connect”- Assign the base permission sets. Anyone who will upload, download or delete files, administrators included, needs Sliick Files User. See Install and permission sets.
- Set up the Integration User. Connecting registers your org with Sliick, and that registration runs as this user. See Set up the Integration User.
Unlike the bring-your-own-storage providers, there is no Setup page to edit and no external credential grant to add on a permission set of your own.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”- Open the Sliick Admin app from the App Launcher and go to the Storage Settings tab.
- Under Storage Provider, select Sliick Cloud Storage.
- In Integration User, enter the username of the dedicated user you set up. It pre-fills if you have connected before, and you only re-enter it to change it.
- Click Connect.
Check it worked
Section titled “Check it worked”The Storage Settings panel should show Connected - Sliick Cloud Storage with a provisioning status of Active.
Then upload a test file from a record’s file list, confirm it appears, and delete it again.
If a connection attempt fails
Section titled “If a connection attempt fails”The panel shows the error and a Connect button. Click Connect again to retry: there is no separate retry or reconnect flow. Retrying is safe, because setting up your org again does not create a second key, it re-delivers the one you already have.
For specific error messages, see Troubleshooting.
