Upload files
How to get files onto a record, on your own or in bulk. Any file type is accepted.
Upload one or more files
Section titled “Upload one or more files”- Open the record page and find the file list.
- Click the Upload files input.
- Select one or more files from your computer. Any file type is accepted. Hold Ctrl/Cmd or Shift while clicking to select several at once.
- Files appear in the list once uploaded. Images going to cloud storage show a Processing badge briefly while the image is optimised.
You can upload up to 50 files at a time. Select more than 50 and you will see an error asking you to reduce the batch size.
SharePoint file names upload intact. Parentheses, spaces, accents and apostrophes are preserved exactly as you named the file. Only characters SharePoint itself rejects, such as
: * ? " < > |, need to change, and when that happens you are asked to confirm the cleaned-up name before the upload proceeds. Nothing is renamed without your say-so.
Drag and drop
Section titled “Drag and drop”- Drag one or more files from your computer over the file list.
- A dashed border and a “Drop to upload” overlay appears.
- Drop the files to start uploading.
Multiple dropped files are queued and tracked in the same progress panel as a bulk upload.
Watching a bulk upload
Section titled “Watching a bulk upload”When you upload several files, a collapsible progress section appears below the upload input with a summary such as “Uploading 2 of 12 files”. Click the arrow on the left to expand or collapse the per-file detail. Each file shows one of:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting to start |
| Uploading | Currently transferring, with a spinner |
| Complete | Uploaded successfully, with a tick |
| Failed | Upload failed, with the error. Click Retry next to the file |
To stop the remaining uploads mid-batch, click Cancel. Files already uploaded are kept; queued files are cancelled. Click Dismiss when you are done to clear the panel, or leave it: it clears itself after a few seconds if everything succeeded.
Files upload two at a time so the browser is not overwhelmed. You do not have to wait for one upload to finish before selecting more.
Retry failed image processing
Section titled “Retry failed image processing”If an image fails to process it shows a Failed badge next to the file name.
- Find the file with the Failed badge.
- Click Retry in the file’s action buttons.
- The file is resubmitted and the badge changes to Processing.
In the image gallery, failed images show a “Processing failed” overlay with a retry option.
If retrying does not help, contact your administrator.
