Tags

Tags let you categorise files and make them easier to find. They appear in the Tags column of the file list, and the search bar matches on them as well as on file names.

  1. Find a file that has a version history, shown by the expand arrow next to its name.
  2. Click the edit (pencil) icon in the Tags column.
  3. Enter comma-separated tags in the prompt, for example “invoice, Q1, approved”.
  4. Click OK.

To remove all tags, clear the field and click OK.

When you are viewing an image in the gallery’s carousel, the current tags appear below the image name with an edit (pencil) icon beside them. Click it, enter comma-separated tags such as “front, exterior, damage”, and click OK.

Tags applied in the file list are searchable from the gallery’s search bar too, and the other way around.

The pencil icon only appears for files on external storage that have a version history. Files stored in Salesforce Files do not support tags through this interface.
