Changes made outside Salesforce
If your administrator has enabled two-way sync for your external storage provider, Sliick Files picks up changes that happen outside Salesforce. This page is what that means for you day to day. There is nothing to do in the UI: opening or refreshing a record’s file list checks for external changes for you.
What gets picked up
Section titled “What gets picked up”- A file replaced directly in the connected bucket or SharePoint library appears in Salesforce as a new current version.
- A brand-new file placed directly in a record’s storage folder, the same folder Sliick uploads into, appears on that record automatically. A file put anywhere else is not picked up until it is moved into the correct record’s folder.
- A file deleted directly in SharePoint or Amazon S3 is removed from the record’s file list and parked for an administrator to restore.
Where external deletes do not sync
Section titled “Where external deletes do not sync”On Google Cloud Storage and Azure Blob Storage, external deletes do not currently sync. A file removed directly in the bucket or container stays visible on its Salesforce record until someone removes it there too.
If your org signs in to SharePoint per user
Section titled “If your org signs in to SharePoint per user”When your organisation connects to SharePoint using per-user (Delegated) sign-in, two-way sync is not available. Instead, opening a record’s file list pulls in whatever that record’s SharePoint folder shows under your own Microsoft sign-in.
If a change is slow to appear
Section titled “If a change is slow to appear”Notifications are batched, so a change made outside Salesforce can take a few minutes to show up on its own. Press Refresh on the file list for an immediate pull.
