Media processing for images
Media processing gives you automatic HEIC to JPG conversion, EXIF orientation correction, resizing and thumbnail generation for uploaded images. It runs as a shared service Sliick operates, so there is no infrastructure for you to deploy or manage. It is optional and off until you turn it on.
Read your provider’s data residency page first. This is the one setting that changes where your image bytes travel. Everything else in Sliick Files keeps bytes between the browser and your own storage.
Not available on SharePoint. Images stored in SharePoint are kept as they are.
Before you turn it on
Section titled “Before you turn it on”- Cloud storage is connected and Active, on any provider except SharePoint.
- An Integration User has been designated during storage setup, and is active. See Set up the Integration User.
- Access is authorised for your org by Sliick. Contact Sliick if verification fails with a “not authorised” message.
Turn it on and verify
Section titled “Turn it on and verify”- Open the Sliick Admin app and go to the Storage Settings tab.
- In the Media Processing section of the left rail, between Connection and Folders & Metadata, turn Enable Pipeline on.
- Click Verify. The panel shows “Verifying…” while it confirms your org is authorised and the service can reach your org.
- On success the status changes to Verified and the resize settings appear.
If the status shows Failed, the message names the cause. The common ones are:

Resize settings
Section titled “Resize settings”Once verified, you can configure how images are processed:

Click Save Settings. Changes take effect for the next uploaded image.
Turn it off
Section titled “Turn it off”Turn Enable Pipeline off. Images are then stored exactly as uploaded, with no conversion, resizing or thumbnails. Your settings are kept, so you can turn it back on later without verifying again.
