Troubleshooting

“Can’t reach Salesforce.” after signing in. This is almost always an org setting, not your internet connection. Your sign-in worked, but the org blocked the last step. An admin needs to turn on Enable CORS for OAuth endpoints in Setup, under CORS, and confirm https://office.sliick.com is in the Allowed Origins List. See Step 2 of the org setup.

The sign-in window opens and then closes, or I cannot connect. Check the org URL in Settings. It must be your My Domain address, starting with https://. If you pasted a consumer key under Advanced, it must be the one your admin sent for this org, because a sandbox and a production org have different keys. Or clear the box to use the packaged app. If that all looks right, ask your admin to check the org setup.

“invalid_client: invalid client credentials.” This only happens when you pasted a consumer key under Advanced. Your org’s own External Client App has one of its Require secret… boxes turned on, and both must be off. Ask your admin to see using your org’s own External Client App, or clear the box to use the packaged app.

“ip restricted by app developer.” The app is limiting which IP addresses can sign in, and yours is not on the list. Your admin can fix this by setting IP Relaxation to Relax IP restrictions on the app. See reviewing the app’s policies.

My sign-in is refused even though the setup is done. If the app’s Permitted Users policy is Admin approved users are pre-authorized, your admin also has to assign you a permission set or profile on that app.

The Template Builder button is not on the ribbon. The add-in is not installed for your account. Install it from Home, then Add-ins (search for Sliick Docs), or ask your admin to deploy it.

A field I expect is not in the list. You may not have permission to see it in Salesforce, or you are on the wrong base object. Switch the object selector on the Build tab, or ask your admin about field access.

Save is refused with a permissions message. You probably have the Sliick Docs User permission set, which can generate documents but not save templates. Ask your admin for Sliick Docs Template Author.

Save says the template is invalid. One or more tags did not match. Read the per-tag status in the save results on the Save tab, fix the Unresolved ones in the document, and save again. See Check and save.

My table shows only one row in the output. Make sure the repeating fields sit inside a table inserted from Related lists (repeating tables). A table typed by hand without the {{#…}} and {{/…}} tags does not repeat.

Generate is not available. Either you are in demo mode (generating needs a live connection), or no template is picked yet. Once connected, go to the Save tab and pick a template under Save to, or save a new one. The Generate a document section then appears.

The generated document does not show my latest edits. Generate uses the version saved in Salesforce. Save first, then generate.

When you contact support, include the build number from the pane’s footer (for example build 162). It is also under Diagnostics in ⚙ Settings, and tells us exactly which version of the add-in you are using.
